Classic round-slide carburetor for the Royal Enfield Bullet.
The VM28 model is roughly equivalent to the original – only “a bit better.” We also have another version available in our shop for those with sportier ambitions.
It doesn’t get any more purist – the VM offers everything a carburetor needs, without unnecessary extras such as heater, accelerator pump, diaphragm, etc. – above all, easy operation and reliability. In addition, it is the perfect replacement for defective and no longer available vintage carburetors! As a nice bonus, you also get a noticeable power increase (approx. 2–5 hp, depending on the motorcycle). Extra jets for fine tuning included!
Since this carburetor is mechanically controlled and designed for racing use, it has no TÜV approval. Registration, however, is possible after consultation with the inspector.
You are buying a first-class model – Made in Japan – tuned here for the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 (1989–2007 + possibly EFI models). The carburetor can be used with our performance air filters or, better yet, with K&N filters.
Note: The intake manifold may need to be adapted; please check the new dimensions! Suitable intake manifolds are available in our shop.

IMPORTANT: The jets have been selected to the best of our knowledge, based on calculations AND practical experience. Every motorcycle is different – further fine-tuning may be required. Additional jets are available on request. Please use only our ORIGINAL MIKUNI tuning kits, not reproductions! The importer and reseller cannot be held liable for any damage caused by incorrect jetting, etc.
