A complete kit for building a motorcycle seat, put together based on decades of experience and using carefully selected, high-quality materials.
The set is especially suitable for sporty road motorcycles, but can of course also be used for other projects.

Seat base plate
This plate is lightweight yet stable. It is very easy to work with, similar to wood, and can be cut using a jigsaw or a utility knife. With the help of heat, for example from a heat gun, it can be shaped easily without splintering. The seat cover can be glued to the underside using standard contact adhesive and, if required, additionally fixed with staples. The base plate is also sandable, paintable, waterproof, and weather-resistant.

Foam block
Universally usable special foam in upholstery quality, ideal for motorcycle seat construction.
The foam is specifically designed for use as a seat core and has a high density (140 kg/m³), ensuring it does not bottom out even at relatively low thickness. It can be cut with an electric bread or carving knife and shaped using a belt sander or an angle grinder with a flap disc, and bonded for example with contact adhesive.

Comfort foam layer
For touring motorcycles, the use of one layer of this foam as an additional top layer is recommended to significantly improve long-distance riding comfort. Can easily be bonded using contact adhesive.

Synthetic leather and backing foam
This synthetic/vinyl leather comes from an upholsterer and is specially manufactured for motorcycle seats. It is UV-stable and waterproof (stitches should of course be additionally sealed).
The surface has a lightly grained, leather-like texture, while the reverse side features a textile backing.
The thin backing foam serves as the final layer between the foam and the synthetic leather, helping to even out minor irregularities and seams.
